Spit started as a tool I built for myself. I dictate a lot of text every day, and every paid dictation app I tried either sent my voice to someone else's server, cost a monthly fee for something that should be simple, or both. So I built the version I actually wanted: it runs entirely on my Mac, costs nothing, and I can read every line of code that touches my microphone.

Once it worked well for me, there was no good reason to keep it to myself. So it's free, open-source (MIT), and anyone can audit exactly what it does.

What is Draxo.io?

Draxo.io is the small studio I run — right now, that's just me. [Uma frase sobre o que a Draxo faz/fez antes do Spit, se quiseres mencionar outros projectos ou o teu histórico.] Spit is the first product I'm releasing publicly under it.

No investors, no sales team

There's no company behind this beyond what you see: one developer, a GitHub repo, and an app that either earns your trust by working well and staying honest about what it does with your data, or it doesn't. I'd rather be accountable to people who actually use Spit than to anyone else.
